Lisa and Paul Hill conceived Collina’s Italian Cafe out of a love for dining out, a love for Italian food and a love for each other.  With a vision of “bringing the best of Italy right to your doorstep”, the couple opened their original eight (8) table location in a storefront near Greenway Plaza in the summer of ’93.

A loyal following grew quickly as Paul perfected his pizza crust and Lisa honed her favorite family, gourmet recipes.  In the spring of ’94, as the Houston Rockets’ championship season brought big crowds of hungry fans to the Greenway Plaza area, Collina’s popularity increased.  As a result Collina’s caught the eye of Houston Chronicle food critic, Alison Cook, who enthusiastically endorsed the restaurant with a rave review!  Suddenly the lines grew with new and eager customers. The American Dream of owning a successful small business became Lisa and Paul’s reality!  This continues today as daughter Caroline has joined the team as Collina’s continues to serve multiple generations of Houstonians day after day and year after year!

Collina’s has expanded now offering: full service catering, pick up, delivery, and even fully staffed events at each of their neighborhood locations.  Take your pick: Richmond Avenue near Greenway Plaza, I-10 near the Memorial area, and 19th Street in The Heights.  Both the Greenway Plaza and the Heights locations have “Party Rooms” with the ability to entertain 40 and 75 respectively.
